Yapık is a developing indigenous white variety from Lycia, still under research within the Arkeo program. With a distinctive water-white colour and a nutty nose of white almond, it delivers tangy acidity and a citrus-driven palate. Its slightly oily texture and persistent green fruit finish distinguish Yapık as an experimental variety with strong potential for future vinification. As full analytical data is collected, this grape promises to add further diversity to the catalogue of Lycia’s ancient white varieties.
